Snareweight V1 Vegan Leather Drum Dampener (100g)

The Snareweight V1 is a weighted 100 gram chrome and vegan leather drum dampener that tightens snare and tom ring without killing it.

It has a 3.5 oz (100 gram) chrome body, a magnet, felt and strong vegan leather. It's built to keep the good ring and get rid of the bad. Snareweight sees it as sitting between the M1 and the brass #5. It takes the M1's footprint and adds the right amount of weight for a dampened drum that's still full of tone. Because of the weight, and because it sits out and away from the rim, it keeps the ring of the shell and adds some crisp clarity and compression. It also shortens the low-frequency hum, like the #5 does, which tightens the drum up.

It's made to shorten sustain and keep the good ring, so it won't remove all the ring from your snare. It gives about the same amount of dampening as the M1 but sounds different. If you want the most dampening, a fully open M80 does more, with less shell openness.
