Description
The Snareweight M80 is a leather drum dampener with four settings, from mild to heavy to off, for snares and toms of any size.
It gives medium to medium-heavy dampening and is Snareweight's "starter" model. It's engineered to control ring without sacrificing the brightness of the drum. The weight sits on the head (more than tape or plastic), which helps shorten how long the drum rings. Flip it up and off the head for no dampening at all.
- Fits any size drum, 8" to 18" and beyond
- Patented clip with a secure grip on metal hoops of all sizes and 1/4" wood hoops
- Works with triple-flange, die-cast, angel hoops, true hoops, brass hoops and 1/4" wood hoops
- Not for S-hoops, and not recommended for Tama Arc hoops
- Genuine USA leather, about 10" across and 1.3mm to 1.6mm thick, made by hand in South San Francisco
- Magnetic, so nothing sticks to your head, and it won't warp, kink or come unstuck
Colours: black, white, brown, wasabi green, red and sea foam green. The white M80 uses Snareweight's softest leather. It dampens more than the coloured ones, moves and acts a bit more like a gate, and is less visible against a white head.
