Snareweight M50 Drum Dampener (50g)

The Snareweight M50 is a weighted 50 gram chrome and leather drum dampener for light, targeted dampening on snares and toms.

It's the most targeted drum damper Snareweight makes, and it's great for touch-ups on a snare or tom when you're almost there. It adds about 1-2 dB of compression and tames low hum. Because of the weight, and because it sits out and away from the rim, it keeps the ring of the shell and adds some crisp clarity. It gives a little more dampening than an M1 with its wings folded up. For floor toms, Snareweight still recommends the M80. Mix and match it with the M100 to suit each drum.

It's made to shorten sustain and keep the good ring, so it won't remove all the ring from your drum. It tightens it up and adds punch while keeping the shell open around the rim.

• Fits any size drum, 8" to 18" and beyond
• Works with triple-flange, die-cast, angel hoops, true hoops and 1/4" wood hoops
• Magnetic on/off: detach it when you don't want dampening
• Chrome finish matches most hardware and sits out of the way on the rim
• Patent leather, 1.3mm thick. The waterproof outer layer can look a bit like plastic, but it's very strong.
