Snareweight M1 Drum Dampener

The Snareweight M1 is a light to medium leather drum dampener for snares and toms, with four settings and no sticky residue.

It's engineered to control ring without sacrificing the brightness of the drum. The four settings are very light, light, medium and off. Flip it up and off the head for no dampening at all. Snareweight describes it as acting like a gate: harder hits lift the leather so the drum can breathe at full volume. It has a smaller dampening surface than the M80, so it's the lighter touch of the two.

It's small and portable, and moves from one drum to another with no mess. I'd keep one in your stick bag or cymbal bag, so you can tame a house kit or backline snare when your own drums aren't there. You can also run two M1s on the same drum for more options and control.
