Just like the original acrolite that is a staple of every drummers Snare Quiver - the Black Galaxy version is coated in black with an incredible sparkle.
Produced between 1994 and 2012.
This particular snare was sourced from Kansas in the USA. I'd say it's a great Player's Snare - reliable, ready to gig and suited for either a drummer new to the magic of acrolites or you own a beautiful vintage one already and would like to keep it at home while you take this one out live?
The Black Galaxy Acrolite is a light weight aluminium shell with 8 Lugs. This snare has been set up as the ultimate Players drum.
The muffler has been removed (Classic old studio trick to reduce any buzzes or vibrations)
Upgraded to an Inde Throw-off (RRP $94) - super reliable, light weight throw-off that uses the original Ludwig holes. This snare had one extra hole drilled by previous owner (see pics, it's hidden by the throw-off)
